August Stitch Fix Review (Stitch Fix #21)

I say this every time: I know this is outside of my normal fitness/running blogging, but hey – its my blog, and I want to blog about my awesome clothes!

Here’s how it works: You set up a style profile and you receive a box with 5 items in it.  You can choose the frequency with which you set up the box …once a month, every other month, etc.  You pay $20 to receive a box.  If you keep anything, that $20 goes toward your purchase.  If you keep all 5 items, you get a discount!  They send you anything from jewelry, to clothes to handbags. They’ve even added SHOES to the mix! If you don’t want to keep an item, they have an envelope to send them back.

What I love about this is that I get a stylist that looks at my style profile and picks out items just for ME.  You can even link to a pinterest board so they can get inspiration and a better look into what you like.

Item Number 1 –  Pixley Stacey Scallop Hem Cut-Out Detail Skirt  ($64)

I wanted this to work so bad because the skirt was adorable! But it was far too tight.  The scalloped hem was adorable and it had a great texture.

Verdict: Return

Item Number 2 – Market & Spruce Dollie Tie Back Neck Knit Top ($54)

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep this because it was a heavier sweater material.  But hey, fall is coming eventually. I loved that it was super comfortable and very simple, but had just a touch of detail with the ribbon in the back.

Verdict: Keep

Item Number 3 – 41Hawthorn Liano Mixed Material Top ($54)

I loved the pattern of this top.  Unfortunately, it was a bit snug and was a little too unflattering to my tummy.

Verdict: Return

Item Number 4 –  Le Lis Tearly Scoop Neck Blouse ($44)

This shirt is so comfortable and flowy.  If I could have one of these in every color imaginable please! This will be a great shirt when I head off to Vegas.   Nice enough to look put together, but still very comfortable and cool.

Verdict: Keep

Item Number 5 –  41 Hawthorn Kellan Tie Front Blouse ($58)

I wasn’t sure about this when I first pulled it out.  I’m busty and don’t really need to call more attention to it….which tie front blouses normally do.  But I loved the olive color and loved the detail at the bottom.

Verdict: Keep (I’ve already worn it and gotten a bunch of compliments!)

Overall Impression

I kept three pieces, which was pretty good.  Still a few misses on the sizing, but she’s really got my style down!

Can’t wait to see what I get next time!
