I say this every time: I know this is outside of my normal fitness/running blogging, but hey – its my blog, and I want to blog about my awesome clothes! I actually managed to take semi real pictures this time! You should be proud!
Here’s how it works: You set up a style profile and you receive a box with 5 items in it. You can choose the frequency with which you set up the box …once a month, every other month, etc. You pay $20 to receive a box. If you keep anything, that $20 goes toward your purchase. If you keep all 5 items, you get a discount! They send you anything from jewelry, to clothes to handbags. If you don’t want to keep an item, they have an envelope to send them back.
What I love about this is that I get a stylist that looks at my style profile and picks out items just for ME. You can even link to a pinterest board so they can get inspiration and a better look into what you like.
Spoiler alert: I almost kept everything!!!
Item Number 1 – Street Level Huron Mixed-Material Reversible Tote ($54)
This was a pretty cool tote, I liked the fact that it was reversible. But I have a ton of totes, and there was nothing particularly special about this one to me….especially not for $54.
Verdict: Return
Item Number 2 – Market & Spruce Aleah Heathered V-Neck Dolman Top ($)48
So I’ve been pinning Dolman tops for awhile, but haven’t gotten any. This one is great. The material is super soft and the color is great! I’m fair skinned with dark hair, so jewel tones tend to look good on me.
Verdict: Keep
Item Number 3 – Papermoon Keever Button Back Blouse ($48)
This was the top in my last fix that I loved. I wanted to keep it so bad, but it was just too small! I was so pleased to see that my stylist had sent it to me in a bigger size. It fits great and I can’t wait to wear it!
Verdict: Keep (DUH!)
Item Number 4 – Skies are Blue Tabor Crochet Detail Blouse ($58)
I was cautiously optimistic about this one when I pulled it out, but when I tried it on it was wayyyy too short. The cut was not flattering at all.
Verdict: Return
Item Number 5 – Market & Spruce Elissa French Terry Striped Moto Jacket ($74)
This was a bit of a surprise for me. For some reason, I don’t do well with stitch fix and jackets. But this was a slam dunk! I love it. Its very comfortable and I love the zipper and button details.
Vedict: Keep
Overall Impression
I loved the style of everything. Had the Skies are Blue blouse worked, I may have just kept the tote to get the 25% discount off the whole box. However, I couldn’t justify keeping all of that when I didn’t love the tote and the blouse didn’t work. Style-wise, this was great. My stylist is fantastic and I love the mix of things she’s sending me. I asked for more fall stuff next fix!
