May Stitch Fix Review (Stitch Fix #6)

Like I say every time – I know this is outside of my normal fitness/running blogging, but hey – its my blog, and I want to blog about my awesome clothes!  I’m going to apologize in advance for my horrible ugly pictures. I planned to take pictures with them on…but the best laid plans….

Here’s how it works: You set up a style profile and you receive a box with 5 items in it.  You can choose the frequency with which you set up the box …once a month, every other month, etc.  You pay $20 to receive a box.  If you keep anything, that $20 goes toward your purchase.  If you keep all 5 items, you get a discount!  They send you anything from jewelry, to clothes to handbags. If you don’t want to keep an item, they have an envelope to send them back.

What I love about this is that I get a stylist that looks at my style profile and picks out items just for ME.  You can even link to a pinterest board so they can get inspiration and a better look into what you like.

So, I had a new stylist for this box, and spoil alert: I wasn’t a huge fan.

Item Number 1 –  Bancroft Kate Stone and Pave Disc Layering Necklace($34)

I really liked this necklace, but debated if it was worth the $34.  I decided to keep it.  As of the writing of this post, I’ve gotten a ton of wear out of it!

Verdict: Keep

Item Number 2 –  Daniel Rainn Tolley Crochet Panel Top ($68)

No, no, no.  Didn’t like this at all.

Verdict: Return

Item Number 3 –  Level 99 Cindie Printed Short ($68)

The shorts were really cute and fit well, but the problem was the print was not me at all, and I couldn’t find anything in my wardrobe to wear them with.  I asked for them in a different color if possible.

Verdict: Return

Item Number 4 –  Fun2Fun Baker Print Split Neck Top ($44)

So the bicycle print top I loved from my last fix? This is the same shirt but with  a different pattern.

Verdict: Keep

Item Number 5 –  Donna Morgan Divya Dress ($128)

For the price of this item, I thought it would be great.  Nope.  This was the most unflattering dress.  I’m quite busty, so the dress just did not work for me.

Vedict: Return

Overall Impression

I want Michal back.  I appreciate that this stylist took some time to find items that she thought I would like.  She incorporated some things that I liked, but missed the mark on what is flattering on me.  I asked for Michal to style my next fix.

Advice: If you like a stylist, ask for them by name to keep returning.
