March Stitch Fix Review (Stitch Fix #3)

So I’m a little lot late on writing this, but better late than never, right?

I know this is outside of my normal fitness/running blogging, but hey – its my blog, and I want to blog about my awesome clothes!  I’m going to apologize in advance for my horrible ugly pictures. I planned to take pictures with them on…but the best laid plans….

Here’s how it works: You set up a style profile and you receive a box with 5 items in it.  You can choose the frequency with which you set up the box …once a month, every other month, etc.  You pay $20 to receive a box.  If you keep anything, that $20 goes toward your purchase.  If you keep all 5 items, you get a discount!  They send you anything from jewelry, to clothes to handbags. If you don’t want to keep an item, they have an envelope to send them back.

What I love about this is that I get a stylist that looks at my style profile and picks out items just for ME.  You can even link to a pinterest board so they can get inspiration and a better look into what you like.

All in all, I love the STYLE of my fix. I loved the look of everything.  I didn’t look at anything and say “ew!” so that’s good 🙂

Item Number 1 – Zad Leanne Infinity Drop Earrings ($28)

I failed to get a picture of these.  They were infinity shaped earrings.  They were cute, but I didn’t love them.

Verdict: Return.

Item Number 2 – Renee C Genevieve Abstract Dot Print Blouse ($38)

I was hoping this top would fit because it was so cute!  It looked like something I would have picked for myself.  However, it clung to all the wrong places and was too tight.

Verdict: Return.

Item Number 3 – Sugarlips Phoebe High-Low Skirt ($48)

So I didn’t love this one right out of the box, but I thought I’d give it a chance.  Nope, didn’t like this look on me at all.

Verdict: Return.

Item Number 4 – Level 99 Cayden Skinny Jean ($98)

So I’ve been iffy about my stylist sending me pants, because it just has not worked out.  BUT – these pants are super comfy.  They are tighter than I’m used to wearing, but I love them.  Also, I have this weird thing about liking my pant legs longer than normal….and these were not long enough.  So guess who is rolling them up?

Verdict: I couldn’t help myself.  Keep.

Item Number 5 – Pixley Ivy Petal Print Blouse ($58)

I wanted so so bad to love this shirt.  It was perfect.  But it was just a touch too tight.  I couldn’t justify getting something that didn’t fit NOW.  You know that whole “well, it’ll fit if I lose 10 lbs” thing? Yeah, I don’t play that game.

Vedict: Return 😦

Overall Impression

My stylist is pretty dang on par with my style.  Still working on the sizing, but hey – what woman doesn’t have issues with getting the right size the first time into the dressing room!?
